The award from SAMIA (South African Motorsport Industry Association) went to RG Motorsport in recognition of its commitment to customer service, warranty and diverse manufacturing skills in an industry that SAMIA describes as “sometimes controversial”, proving that that these core business values are as important in this industry sector as in any other.
“The Performance Tuning Award won by RG Motorsport is particularly important to the developing sector of the motorsport industry,” said SAMIA’S Managing Director Brian Sims. “It represents a rapidly expanding sector of interest amongst so many challenged South Africans. RGM’s high standard of operation provides a fantastic role model in what is a most interesting and fast-growing area of the motorsport industry in this country,” added Sims.
The inaugural SAMIA awards were given lustre by the presence of South African Ferrari F1 designer Rory Byrne, who presented the awards in a number of catgerories.
RG Motorsport was started in 1992 by Rob and Steve Green and has grown to become a premier supplier in the aftermarket performance enhancement industry.
The company, situated in ultra-modern premises in Strydom Park, Randburg, offers a vast array of service, including race preparation, supercharging installation on a wide range of popular models, modest Stage One tuning kits, brake and suspension up-grades, as well as a full servicing department.
All RG Motorsport Supercharge conversions on new vehicles are offered with a three year up to 100 000 km warranty that covers all mechanical aspects of a customer’s vehicle.
