RGMotorsports development division has now released the RGM/MRP liquid charge cooled bolt on Supercharge conversion for the new Jeep SRT 8. This SUV in standard form is no slouch pushing out 313kw and 570nm of torque making this an already fast and powerful vehicle. 420bhp on a standard vehicle is impressive but this is where RGMotorsport decided to do something really different and unique. After 3 solid months of development and testing by the RGM team utilizing the latest RGM CAD CAM software we now have a RGM/MRP liquid charge cooled bolt on supercharge conversion available for the Jeep SRT 8.

RGM/MRP LIQUID CHARGE COOLING. One of the unique features of this liquid charge cooler is that it is positioned directly in front of the intake manifold which allows for a very short boost track, in turn increasing throttle response dramatically. All components for the liquid charge cooler are manufactured from aluminum and are highly polished, boost couplers are of a high pressure blue silicone nature and are secured with premier stainless steel hose clamps. This is a closed loop system that has its own header tank situated in the right front side of the engine compartment and does not interfere with the vehicles cooling system what so ever. This charge cooling system has a 12 litre capacity of which 60% is glycol and 40% water. The charge cooler has a dual core for maximum efficiency. There is also a dual Setrab heat exchanger mounted in the lower frontal spoiler area which has its own electric water pump for circulation purposes.

VORTECH V2 T– TRIM POLISHED ANTICLOCKWISE SUPERCHARGER. We utilize the Vortech V2 T-Trim centrifugal anticlockwise supercharger unit which is renowned for its quiet mechanical operation. There is high pressure oil feed to this unit for lubrication and cooling and a gravitational return to the engines sump. The Supercharger drive is transmitted via a 6 rib belt which runs the standard belt route utilizing a longer drive belt . The supercharger pulley is manufactured from B51(6082) aircraft aluminum which is CNC machined and hard anodized to ensure long term durability. All supercharger mounting components are laser cut and plated. All mounting nuts & bolts are of the highest quality plated tensiles and stainless steel.

RECIRCULATION VALVE (DUMP VALVE). We utilize the RGM/EXCEL recirculation valve (dump valve) to ensure that this conversion is extremely drivable at light throttle positions as well as to maintain boost when all out performance is required

FUEL SYSTEM. A RGM rising rate fuel pressure regulator as well as an additional fuel pump is installed which is only activated on demand by the Unchip Q version.

ELECTRONICS The Unichip Q version which we utilize is a piggy back ecu that allows us to take control of the ignition timing and fuel. The road speed governor is also removed during the remapping process

PERFORMANCE FIGURES. The RGM Supercharged SRT 8 is 456kw @ 5500 rpm and 790nm @ 5000 rpm. A full second quicker from 0-100kmh at 6000 feet above sea level
